Earlier this month Link AKC showcased the LINK Smart Collar in partnership with Amazon Live-stream. During this live video segment, our Product Manager Ashley along with her Labrador Retriever Ella explained everything that you need to know about our innovative smart dog collar. Ashley introduced our new LINK Sport Collar, explained the technology behind the smart collar and showed how to use it. Throughout the live broadcast Ashley answered questions submitted by viewers about how the LINK Smart Collar works.

Q: How far can I track my dog?
A: The answer is anywhere in the United States as long as the tracking unit can get AT&T cellular connection and it can see a satellite in the sky to know it’s GPS coordinates. That connectivity is what your service plan covers. It’s the ability to always stay connected to your dog even if you’re not together.
Q: I have a puppy, should I wait to buy one until they are fully grown?
A: No, you should buy now, don’t wait! We have a free size exchange program. We would be happy to send you another size collar when your puppy is fully grown. Again, what you are customizing by choosing your size when you order is the size of the included leather or nylon collar. The smart component of the smart collar is one size!
Q: Is the tracker waterproof?
A: Water resistant up to a depth of 3 feet for 30 minutes... bring on the beach days!
